I
have been training dogs my whole life, there is nothing I enjoy
more than seeing a dog and his owner have a mutually trusting
relationship. I have made it my mission in life to improve
the human animal bond in whatever way I can. I received my Certified Pet Dog Trainer
certification in November of 2005. The test requires 300
hours of experience a knowledge of the science of dog
training as well as practical methods used, a knowledge of
equipment and canine development, animal husbandry and ethology. I have attended
numerous seminars on Positive Reinforcement training and three Clicker
Expos. I received my certification as a Certified Dog Behavior
Consultant in December 2008. I have worked with such marvelous people as Karen Pryor, Pat Miller, Emma
Parsons, Steve White, Kathy Sdao, Melissa Alexander, Morgan
Spector, Ken Ramirez, Pam Reid Phd. and too many
others to
list.
In
2001 I took Purdue University’s Animal Behavior Modification
course, a five day seminar with Andrew Luescher DVM, Phd, CDBAC.
This course included lecture and hands on workshops on a
variety of subjects including, behavior modification techniques,
puppy class training, puppy development, principles of learning,
humane and effective training techniques, and normal canine behavior.
I
am an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and have been
evaluating dogs since 2003. I
am an APDT Professional member and a Certified member of the
IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants).
I also train with the Porter County 4H
Dog Project and have been doing so for the last 5 years. I am

group and many other rescue groups. I
